He added that while there was a sequential growth of 8% in June over May 2025, international business sales also grew by 57.9% compared to Q1 FY25.
Tata Motors highlighted several initiatives, including the launch of the Ace Pro, India’s most affordable mini-truck, available in petrol, bi-fuel, and electric variants. It received a strong market response. The company also improved driver comfort in heavy vehicles and expanded its presence in markets like Egypt and the MENA region.

Mr. Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., noted that despite industry-wide pressure, particularly in May and June, the Electric Vehicle segment showed strong momentum. The launch of new EV models and robust growth helped keep customer interest intact. Tata Motors' PV sales of 1,24,809 units in Q1 FY26 included 16,231 EVs, reflecting alignment with the increasing electrification of mobility.
Key models such as the Tiago and Harrier.ev saw positive consumer response, and the company is optimistic about upcoming launches to help outperform other segments, including hatchbacks and SUVs.
Looking ahead, Tata Motors expects the market to remain steady but is confident in leveraging its refreshed portfolio and EV offerings to maintain momentum.
