Promoters Increase Stake in These 10 Stocks – Do You Hold Any?

As the Q4 results season continues, a lot of updated data is coming to light. One of the key metrics to track during this time is promoter shareholding. Promoters, who are closest to the company’s operations, often increase or decrease their stake based on their outlook for the business. This can serve as an early indicator for investors.

In this article, we present 10 companies where promoter shareholding has increased in the March 2025 quarter. This data changes every quarter, so it should only be used for educational and research purposes. Always study the business fundamentals before making any investment decisions.

  • Godrej Properties
    Promoter holding increased from 46.50% in December 2024 to 46.67% in March 2025. Though it may look like a small change, in percentage terms these changes represent crores of rupees in investment. Godrej Properties is a reputed real estate company and is a favorite among foreign institutional investors (FIIs).

  • Poonawalla Fincorp
    Promoter holding rose from 62.36% to 62.53%. FIIs have also increased their stake, while DIIs and public shareholding have slightly decreased. The company has recently entered into gold loans and consumer finance.

  • Jindal Stainless
    Promoter stake increased from 60.70% to 60.87%. Over the past few quarters, their holding has gradually risen from 60.48% in September 2024.

  • Infosys
    Promoter shareholding rose from 14.43% to 14.60%. Though Infosys has low promoter ownership compared to other companies, this increase is still notable.

  • GMR Airports Infrastructure
    Promoter stake increased from 66.07% to 66.24%. FIIs also increased their share while DIIs and public shareholders slightly reduced their holdings.

  • Trident
    Promoter holding rose from 73.19% to 73.68%, showing a clear increase in stake.

  • IFCI (a government company)
    Promoter (President of India) stake increased from 71.72% to 72.57%.

  • Jindal Steel and Power
    Promoter holding increased from 61.19% in December 2024 to 62.22% in March 2025.

  • Nava
    Promoter stake rose from 48.89% to 50.13%. FIIs and DIIs show limited interest in this stock, with public shareholding being dominant.

  • Reliance Power
    Promoter holding increased from 23.27% to 24.98%. The stock has a large public following with public shareholding close to 58.93%.

Godrej Industries
Promoter holding increased significantly from 65.73% to 69.65%, a rise of more than 3%. Previously, it had dipped from 67.69% in September 2024 to 65.73% in December 2024, before rebounding strongly.
