China has called on Japan to investigate and curb threatening remarks targeting Chinese diplomats after a report by Japan’s NTV claimed the Chinese Embassy advised its staff to avoid going out. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian criticized Japanese politicians and media for distorting the issue and shifting blame.
