Jaguar Sales Plunge 84% in the UK While Land Rover Surges 14.56% in March 2025

In a dramatic shift in UK automotive sales for March 2025, Jaguar has reported an 84% year-on-year drop in sales, selling only 736 units during the month. This steep decline comes as Jaguar halts new car sales in the UK, aligning with its strategic decision to transition into an all-electric brand by 2026.

The move, although bold, is part of Jaguar’s long-term vision to redefine itself as a modern luxury EV brand. With this temporary dip in sales, the company is positioning itself for a more sustainable and tech-forward future.

In contrast, Land Rover, Jaguar's sister brand under JLR (Jaguar Land Rover), has seen a strong uptick in March 2025. Land Rover sold 14,178 units in the UK during the month, marking a 14.56% increase compared to the same period last year. The strong performance underscores Land Rover’s continued appeal, especially with its premium SUVs like the Range Rover, Defender, and Discovery, which continue to dominate the luxury SUV segment.

As Jaguar prepares for its electric rebirth, all eyes will be on how the brand repositions itself in the evolving global EV landscape. Meanwhile, Land Rover’s solid sales growth proves its firm foothold in the premium segment remains unshaken.
