Bengaluru, February 28, 2025: Ola Electric, India’s largest pure-play EV company, has once again proven its dominance in the electric two-wheeler (2W) segment by selling over 25,000 units in February 2025. This achievement secures the company’s 28% market share, reinforcing its leadership position in India’s rapidly growing EV market.

Strong Market Momentum and Expansion

Backed by a robust S1 scooter portfolio and an extensive sales-and-service network of 4,000 stores, Ola Electric is witnessing increased demand not just in metro cities but also in Tier 3 and 4 towns.

A spokesperson from Ola Electric Mobility Limited highlighted the company’s continued success, stating:

"We have successfully maintained a strong sales momentum and leadership position through the month of February. Owing to our wide scooter portfolio across mass and premium segments, and our network of 4,000 stores across India, we are now witnessing a strong uptick in demand beyond urban cities. With our Roadster X deliveries scheduled next month, we are confident of further accelerating EV adoption across the 2W category in India."

Temporary Registration Halt Resolved

In February, the company faced a temporary slowdown in vehicle registrations on the VAHAN portal due to renegotiations with its vehicle registration agencies. However, the company has successfully resolved the matter, ensuring a smoother registration process moving forward.

Launch of Gen-3 S1 Portfolio and MoveOS 5 Beta

Ola Electric has introduced its flagship Gen-3 portfolio, bringing cutting-edge advancements to its popular S1 lineup. The latest models are priced as follows:

  • S1 X (2kWh): ₹79,999
  • S1 Pro+ (3.5kWh): ₹1,69,999 (introductory price)

Additionally, Ola has rolled out the MoveOS 5 beta, which comes with exciting new features like:

  • Brake by Wire
  • Smart Park
  • DIY Ride Modes
  • Bharat Mood
  • Live Location Sharing

Entry into the Electric Motorcycle Segment

Ola Electric is expanding beyond scooters, officially entering the electric motorcycle segment with the launch of the Roadster X series. The pricing for the new lineup is as follows:

  • Roadster X: ₹74,999
  • Roadster X+ 4.5kWh: ₹1,04,999
  • Roadster X+ 9.1kWh: ₹1,54,999 (featuring a 4680 Bharat Cell and 501 km range per charge)

Ola’s Vision for EV Leadership in India

Ola Electric continues to drive India’s EV revolution with a strong R&D focus, expanding production at its Futurefactory in Tamil Nadu and the upcoming Ola Gigafactory. With a dedicated Battery Innovation Centre (BIC) in Bengaluru and a 750-store direct-to-customer network, Ola is positioning itself as India’s largest EV company.
