NCC Limited, a leading infrastructure company, has announced a significant achievement in securing two major contracts from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) under the BharatNet project. The contracts, valued at a total of ₹10,804.56 crore (excluding GST), cover the design, supply, construction, installation, upgradation, operation, and maintenance of the middle-mile network in multiple telecom circles.

Order Details

As per the company’s disclosure under Regulation 30 of SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015, the awarded contracts include:

1. Uttarakhand Telecom Circle 

Contract Value: ₹2,647.12 crore

Capital Expenditure (Capex): ₹1,543.35 crore

Operational Expenditure (Opex): ₹1,103.77 crore

Execution Timeline: 3 years for construction, 10 years for maintenance

 

2. Madhya Pradesh, DNH & DD Telecom Circles 

Contract Value: ₹8,157.44 crore

Capital Expenditure (Capex): ₹4,189.05 crore

Operational Expenditure (Opex): ₹3,968.39 crore

Execution Timeline: 3 years for construction, 10 years for maintenance

The contracts were awarded by BSNL, a domestic entity, and fall under the general contract conditions of the BharatNet initiative.

Significance of the Deal:This massive order reinforces NCC Limited’s presence in India’s digital infrastructure space.BharatNet aims to enhance connectivity in rural areas, making this a crucial step toward India's digital transformation.The long-term maintenance contract ensures sustained revenue flow for NCC over a decade.

Company’s Standpoint:In the regulatory filing, Sisir K Mishra, Company Secretary of NCC Limited, expressed confidence in the company’s ability to execute these large-scale infrastructure projects efficiently.
