China Announces New Humanitarian Aid for Iran and Lebanon Amid Middle East Crisis

China has announced a new round of humanitarian assistance for Iran and Lebanon as the humanitarian situation across the Middle East continues to worsen following the U.S.-Israel-Iran conflict and its regional spillover effects.

During a regular press briefing, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian expressed deep concern over the growing humanitarian disaster in the region. He stated that the conflict has resulted in heavy civilian casualties, widespread destruction of infrastructure, and severe challenges to the livelihoods of millions of people.

According to Lin Jian, China is deeply saddened by the humanitaria n crisis unfolding in the Middle East. The spokesperson emphasized that the ongoing conflict has placed enormous pressure on local populations, with many communities facing difficulties related to housing, healthcare, public services, and economic recovery.

China noted that it had already provided emergency humanitarian assistance to Iran and several other countries in the region in March this year. Building on those efforts, Beijing has now decided to provide additional humanitarian aid to both Iran and Lebanon.

The new assistance package is aimed at helping affected communities recover from the damage caused by the conflict, rebuild critical infrastructure, improve economic conditions, and support people's livelihoods. Chinese officials said the aid will be delivered based on the actual needs and circumstances of the countries involved.

Lin Jian described China as a good friend of Middle Eastern nations and a responsible major country. He reaffirmed Beijing's commitment to continuing its support and assistance to countries affected by the conflict.

In addition to humanitarian relief efforts, China reiterated its support for diplomatic solutions and peace negotiations. The Chinese government stated that it will continue working to promote dialogue and contribute constructively to efforts aimed at restoring peace and stability across the Middle East.

China believes that political dialogue and peaceful negotiations remain the most effective way to address regional tensions and prevent further humanitarian suffering. Beijing has pledged to continue playing a positive role in promoting peace talks and encouraging all parties to seek a political resolution to the crisis.

As conflicts continue to impact millions across the region, China's latest humanitarian assistance highlights its ongoing efforts to support recovery, reconstruction, and stability in the Middle East while advocating for a peaceful and lasting solution to the ongoing tensions.
